Top of the Town – Best Cheesecake in Karachi

For the diehard chocolate lovers, cheesecakes are sort of an acquired taste. They might not appeal to your taste buds at first, but they slowly grow on you with time. If you are new at this, it’s best to try them with an added topping of strawberry or blueberry for more sweetness and flavour. Oh and they look so pretty in red/blue and white! Here are some of the places we think serve the best cheesecakes in Karachi.

Butler’s Chocolate Cafe

Butler’s Chocolate Cafe, located in Zamzama and in Dolmen Mall is a good place for desserts. Their cheesecake is actually one of our favourites, even if it’s a tad bit pricey at Rs.418 for a slice and an additional something if you want to add the topping of blueberries or strawberries.

However, the white cheesy portion of it is soft and is served over a tasty, hard crust. On it own, it is the perfect level of sweetness and quantity for one person. All in all, you won’t be disappointed.

Special Observation: Do not forget the added topping of blueberries.

Xander’s

Xander’s knows its cheesecakes. It has strawberry cheesecake on the menu and it is served to perfection. It has a rich, creamy texture that will have you asking for more while the crust adds even more flavour and is a nice touch to the overall dessert.

Special Observation: Why have one, when you can order two?

Espresso

At Espresso, you can try a different flavour of cheesecake. They have lemon cheesecake on the menu and it has the hint of a taste of a lime when you bite into it. It’s great for people who like a certain kick in their desserts and not just a whole lot of sweetness.

Special Observation: When we went there the last time, we even saw Mars cheesecake on the menu. Hmmm, now that’s something we want to try…
