Usually known as “the most happening and scenic rooftop of Islamabad”, La Terrazza, is famous for its breath-taking location which lets people enjoy their meals with the view of the very beautiful Faisal Mosque. Situated on the third floor of Centaurus Mall, Islamabad, La Terrazza works as an Italian Restaurant.
First Impression
The first impression of La Terrazza is very, I repeat, VERY ATTRACTIVE. As you enter into the restaurant, a royal wooden interior with beautifully decorated lights awaits you. The aroma of coffee beans and food start tickling your taste buds igniting your hunger to the limits. For seating, I would recommend you to take a table on the rooftop where a beautiful decor with lights and balloons and an amazing view will make your visit all worth it since the very beginning.
Ambiance
La Terrazza can easily get a 10/10 for ambience. My favourite part of the overall ambience was their playlist. They had, literally, all my favourite songs on the list. The best part about this restaurant is not only their soothing environment but also their friendly staff and the view.
Our Order
As they served us the menu book our hunger pangs started striking again. We started with Cream of Mushroom Soup and Smoked Trout Salad, Fiery Szechuan Soup. It was followed by Caspian Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken in the main course. In beverages, we ordered Strawberry Lemonade and Passionfruit Fresh Juice. In dessert, we ordered New York style Cheesecake with their famous Cafe Latte made of Tim Horton’s coffee beans and Kashmiri Chai that has recently been added to their menu.
Service
La Terrazza’s experience was one of my favourite dining experiences, to be honest, and the core reason was their service. The waiters were really friendly. They kept visiting us to make sure we didn’t have any issues with the food. In the end, their manager came to take our feedback and had a talk to ensure that we were satisfied with our visit.
The Food
So here comes the most interesting and the yummiest part. Firstly, we were served with our Cream of Mushroom Soup and Fiery Szechuan Soup. Cream of mushroom was as usual very fine in taste with a creamy texture with chicken and mushrooms enhancing the taste. While Fiery Szechuan Soup was hot and sour in taste with chicken, prawns and mushrooms giving a whole new tangy taste to the taste buds.
After the soups, we were served Smoked Trout Salad. This salad is a new edition to La Terrazza’s menu which is served with finely cut apple slices, salad leaves, olives, smoked trout – all these mixed with juicy sauces and spices. But the less amount of sauces made the salad a little dry to consume, it would have been a 10/10 if it was a little saucier.
Then came the main course, Caspian Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken. Caspian Chicken is a marinated grilled chicken breast which is showered with green and black olives, mushrooms, tomatoes and creamy spinach pasta. If your taste buds crave tanginess then Caspian Chicken must be your pick. Kung Pao Chicken is a stir fry dish with chicken, peanuts, mushrooms, peppers and spices and is served with fried rice. Main Course with served with Strawberry Lemonade and Passion Fruit Fresh Juice which is only served at La Terrazza and nowhere else in Islamabad.

Lastly, it was New York Cheesecake! There couldn’t be any better ending to our meal. The in-mouth-melting texture of this cheesecake was superior to any other cheesecake in Islamabad.
In hot beverages, we got Café Latte and Kashmiri Chai. Their Café Latte is dominant out of all other coffees in Islamabad because they serve Tim Horton’s coffee beans that just keep it real and natural. While Kashmiri Chai is the new edition to their menu which is definitely going to be a big hit soon.
Something Special
Being a food enthusiast, I always make sure to taste every eatery’s special item. And at La Terrazza, they had Polo Chicken as their special. Sliced chicken pieces filled with spinach and cheese fillings, covered with fried potato skin, served with a creamy spinach sauce and mashed potatoes. Trust me, it was actually special and I am definitely going back to have it again! Or maybe I will order it home via foodpanda 😉
The Presentation
La Terrazza serves the yummiest food but the presentation is even yummier. It’s only because of the presentation that people literally forget to take pictures before eating. From soups to cheesecake, every single meal was perfectly served in a reasonable amount, decorated beautifully.
Value For Money
Being a fine dining restaurant, La Terrazza is a bit pricey. That’s because of their imported ingredients like French imported Trout, Tim Hortons Coffee Beans, passionfruits and even the spices are imported. But in the end, it’s all worth it because of the great food they serve.
Overall Verdict
La Terrazza is the best place for family dine out. Prefer sitting outside with a pretty view and perfect music. And let the food be a cherry on the top!
